You may or may not get an email. I got the email saying my first order (for someone else) had shipped after they got the crabs, lmso. When I ordered mine, I got the email in time. It says ground because they just don't have their drop-down updated, is all. It will be overnight. Also, I'm betting (and hoping, honestly) that your freebie will be a blueberry so he has a species buddy. Where are these crabs going? Isn't your blueberry supposed to be a large? Do you have a tank deep enough for a large? I've never used any of their foods, so I have no idea if they're good. I only get my minerals from HCP

i hope that i do get another blueberry too, they will go in the designer tank for a couple of weeks, just to destress,i am desiging a new plan for the 20 long, with 3 large pp's and a medium pp in there i am going to put all my s/med and the medium UEY in the coco cabana will be 1 med 4 small/med,although all are really small except Uey. so my hubby is working on using the tank sealant and making a 2 story of the 2 , 10 gallon tanks so they will use the bottom level for molting,it will be plenty deep,he built all the fish tanks so i know he will do a good job,he said he'll take a couple of days to do that, sealant has to dry too,im excited as this will give me much needed depth,) so i have the margarita tank empty right now,and the 5 1/2 is empty too,i am just working on the details and jim said we can use the 250 gallon lizard tat,its completly ser up.has heat and fans, just will need more sand!!! mom can do anything i need in there and hand me crabs as i want to play with them,so wish i could have a door in the middle and have the sides sloping:( i have a huge built in terrirum just sitting there since the lizard went to lizard heaven,i so am determined to do something with it,the crabs can live in there and i might just do like he said and use it,its so pretty, just think the crabs would love all that space!!!!!!!!!!! i had wanted another tank but i think he might be right about using it,i will have to think about it as i cant stand long enought to get into and out of it easily, and i want to be able to hold and check them as i want,,just not totally sure what i have several options, plenty of room, just need to decide, lol thank you and if you have any idea's as to how i could more easily acess the 250 gallon tat, please share cause its just sitting there ready for them, the lights and heaters are on switches and the fan, lamp above, although i would need to remove some of the big rocks!!!!!!!!!!! so yeah,im trying to decide,he will help me which ever way i decide,so i may just go ahead and start redecorating the big tank,i could totally have plenty of room and lots of room for ladders and stuff,!!!!!!!!!!!

Although I don't usually recommend mixing that many species in one tank, this may be a perfect solution for you, though the set-up will take days, even if you have 3 people doing it. I'm not kidding.
With the number of large crabs you have, I say do it.
You're gonna want your sub at least 10" but probably a foot or more to start since it will compact over time. I'm saying start with at least 20 bags of sand and 10 bricks of EE. (if you have something big enough to soak all your EE at once, that would be ideal, but it would need to hold 50 gal or more.)
However, since it previously held a reptile, you need to clean it before turning it into a crabitat. This is gonna take a lot of hot water, vinegar & scrubbing. If you have 4 people who can take it outside & hose it out & do it that way, or a shop-vac for sucking out the water, those would be big helps. If not, you have to do it with buckets & elbow grease. Any deco used for the lizard will need cleaned as well. Also, I see no need for fans in a crabitat. What kind of lid do you have for it?
Since your blueberries are gonna be larges (she actually will give you the largest of what she has, so we'll see) they shouldn't be in an iso any smaller than a 20, so if you're serious about this big tank and you have the help to do it, get on it girl It'll help pass the time while you await your new arrivals.
Instead of making 2nd levels for those 10s, how about hubby makes some second level shelves/platforms?

i think you are right,i have grown sons to help, also it has glass lids, the fans were for cooling off the bassilica,he was a bih lizard!!!,so it has heaters even has a pond(which is 3 inches deep, filled in sand right now) a waterfall,i can put pebbles and sand in the bottom so the crabs wont drown, its about as big around as a barrel lid,and sits in the middle of the tank!when the boys clean, scrub and shop vac it i will want most of the rocks removed,i will keep enough to make some cave's,and for feeding, now im so excited, hubby totally is on board for this,he said he will start rounding up the boys to help this weekend,it will be a chore! he loves his fish and his snakes so i get to have my crabbies, when, now i am going to want help on ideas for decorating that huge tank!!!!!!!!!!!lots of hides and plants, some shelves for a shell shop and climbing,i will put a climbing mat on the whole back wall, they r gonna be some happy crabbies!!!!!!!!,lol,me too,i will take some more pic's of it so you will have a better idea what we r doing and i will measure it too,ok so i feel 100% better now!!! i want them to have plenty of roomand we have wheel barrows we can mix the sub in,thanks for letting me know how much i will need!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is gonna be hard but totally worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,i just needed some imput to decide what i should do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you talking about an order from LHC?
From my understanding, she hasn't even received her crab from her supplier. There are people who ordered in July who still haven't received their crabs.
Though she is flat out ignoring me about my bad batch of crabs, she has contacted other people on a different forum saying that her supplier had a month off work due to holidays in his country and as of just a couple days ago (last posting made by someone) she still hasn't received her shipment.

Well, you can either wait it out (I know a few people are) or you can demand a refund (which I know quite a few people have already done).
This was sent to a crabber on 8/24: WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE DELAY. OUR SHIPMENT OF HERMIT CRABS HAS BEEN DELAYED BY OUR SUPPLIER. DUE TO A HOLIDAY IN THEIR COUNTRY, THEY ARE ON VACATION UNTIL THE 27TH AND WILL THEN BOOK A SHIPMENT DATE. CRABS WILL NEED TO DE-STRESS AND WILL NOT SHIP IMMEDIATELY. DUE TO THE DELAY, ANY PENDING ORDERS OR ORDERS PLACED BEFORE THE CRABS ARE IN STOCK WILL RECEIVE A FREE CRAB AS A THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE. DUE TO INCREASED DEMAND, WE ARE NOW TAKING PRE-ORDERS. ALL LIVE ORDERS WILL BE SHIPPED IN THE ORDER THEY ARE RECEIVED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE.
Thank you, Live Hermit Crabs
and this was sent 9/10 My supplier emailed this morning to advise he will have information on flights in 2 days.
So, maybe everything will go smoothly from there.
Either way, I cannot fully recommend you wait it out. I received a bad batch of crabs (I spent $120 on 6 crabs and only have 1 left - mysterious deaths out of 4 of them, 1 I lost to pps which was expected out of at least one of them). She is flat out ignoring me and she has not bothered to let anyone know that she doesn't have any crabs right now - she's just letting people spend hundreds of dollars just to wait months with no word from her on where the crabs are.

I have heard that she can take a long time responding, but as far as I know, my 3 strawberries I got from her are still with me (1 just finished his 2nd molt and the other 2 are down but have been recently spotted) and I got them the same week as emberfusion did, I think.

I'm glad yours are doing good, Sach.
I'm just basing my opinion on my own personal experience. The crab deaths I can handle, but what ticks me off is the fact that she is ignoring me. Businesses thrive on good customer experience - she's not having much good customer experience here lately.
I do hope, though, that everything starts going smoothly for her. I know her son is disabled and needs a lot of hands on help (which is why it sometimes takes her a while to respond to people) and she needs the money from the business. I don't wish that kind of hard luck on anyone.
