Well, this is a tricky question to answer for me too. In my PP's tank I have the swimming pool with a palm tree. I think it was supposed to be a water bowl, and at first when I only had littles, I used it as that. It's not very deep and I think the crabbies like it. Now for the E's I have a (never used as...) soap dish. It is shaped like a boat with a little sort of covered area on the front end and the back end doesn't really have much more than a slight lip. Also I use clam shells from time to time for some special little treats that I want to keep seperate from the other foods. Also there are times when I give them a dry treat (like leaves), I don't put it in anything at all, just right onto the substrate.

Mine is tricky too, since I do all of the above, hh. I use a food board that has raised sides and that is where I keep (what I call) "The Standards"-worm castings, crushed oyster and/or crushed coral and mineral powder. I then put fresh stuff on a little plate that barely has sides and put the whole thing on the board. I also use a shell for extra dry stuff and also throw loose stuff in like leaves or popcorn.
