I don't recommend raw, they love it cooked and you take less of a chance of introducing bacteria in the tank. If you want raw, get some night crawlers (fishing worms) or rolly pollies or snails...just look under rocks etc when weather warms and you will find them. Good luck!
They can eat raw. They are scavengers and there is no one to cook their food in the wild.
But, like every said - it can introduce bacteria that can be harmful to YOU into the tank. If you do choose to feed raw meats, it's important that you and anyone else who handles the crabs or even touches anything inside the tank washes your hands afterwards.
kitty: Not much activity in my tank. One morning I got up and it looked like a tornado went through it. Water bowls tumbled, food dishes upside down. Fixed it all up and have been waiting eversince. ! Nothing. DARN !!
