This is the official SCP Adopter Template. If you wish to be listed as a potential crab adopter, you will need to copy this template into a PM, list your location in the subject (ie: "I can adopt in PA"), then fill it out with your information & submit it to staff for approval. If you are approved, a staff member will post it for you.

*Minors will need to have their parents email a staff member to verify that they are okay with taking in more crabs.
*HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN CRABBING-(Don't worry if it hasn't been long, just be honest.)
TANK # AND SIZE(S)- (ie: I have 2 tanks, 40 breeder & 55g-long)
LID TYPE-(ie: Glass, aquarium hood, etc)
SUBSTRATE USED-(ie: I use playsand and Eco Earth in an approx 5:1 ratio)
HUMIDITY SOURCE-(ie: Do you use a humidifier, mist daily, etc)
HEAT SOURCE-(ie: Under tank heater, heat bulb) Where are they located?
WHAT IS YOUR AVERAGE TEMP/HUMIDITY-(please give averages for both day & night)
HOW DO YOU TREAT YOUR WATER-(ie: Tap water conditioner, name brand)
HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR SALT WATER-(ie: Do you use Oceanic or Instant Ocean-name the brand)
HOW MANY CRABS DO YOU HAVE,WHAT SIZES ARE THEY & HOW LONG HAVE YOU HAD THEM-(I always say name something they are the size of like a grape, ping-pong ball, etc. Knowing how long you have had them helps to understand if adding new crabs would be extra stress.)
WHAT SPECIES OF CRABS DO YOU HAVE-
WHAT DO YOU FEED YOUR CRABS-(If you feed other than fresh food, what is it called & where do you get it?)
WHAT TYPES OF HIDES/CLIMBS DO YOU HAVE-(ie: coco-hut, cholla wood, etc)
DO YOU HAVE AN ISOLATION TANK FOR SICK/INJURED/MOLTING CRABS-(Not required to be an adopter, some people use them, some iso in-tank, some do neither. We just want as much info as possible.)
HOW MANY EXTRA SHELLS AND WHAT SIZES DO YOU HAVE-
WHAT SIZE CRABS DO YOU PREFER TO ADOPT-(This may be determined by your current colony, but it can't hurt to suggest.)
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE US TO KNOW-(ie: you can/can't drive to pick crabs up, you are/aren't willing to help w/gas costs, etc. Please do not include things like tanks you hope to purchase in the future, if that is the case, simply come back and modify your adopter profile when such a thing happens.)
*Remember to PM a staff member if anything changes or you can't/don't want to adopt so your adopter profile stays current.
Please also include a photo of your tank (s) so we can all see it.
