OK I know they are safe for the crabs. Here is the crazy question...Can crabs catch them? Crabs seem slow and crickets seem fast Has anyone given them crickets? Also do the crickets escape? I REALLY do not cricket loose in my house! The kids would think its cool.....LOL
They love dead crickets and worms, would they go as far as catching them, I doubt it, too lazy LOL. Mine go crazy for this food made by AbCrab (you can find it at the addiction store) called Creature Comfort. It is chock full of dead bugs worms and things, stinks like nothing I have ever smelled before but they LOVE it and it gives them a different protein source than seafood all the time. And if we look at where they spend a lot of their time in the wild it is probably closer to what they eat the most.
So you should try some of these goodies, dead though because I seriously doubt they will hunt for it :-) The first time I offered them two crickets all they left was the heads
If they are out of it I sometimes order from the UK which is where the AbCrab is, they are really nice, and have a lot of different food offerings than we have here. At some point maybe we could place a big order from them and split shipping costs or something.
