I microwaved a few ears of fresh corn tonight but when I went to shuck them one of the ears had brown stops all over it. I decided to put the entire corn cob in the crab tank. Since they love fresh corn. Any problems with them eating it cooked? No butter or salt and pepper just cooked in the microwave.

They have had fun pushing the cob around the tank and climbing all over it but they haven't eaten any of it. Excited about the sun flowers I grew in the spring. They have finally matured so they'll get a few of those this weekend hope they like them.
Ooh sunflowers! I wish I had thought about that! I need to see if my mom has some this year. If she has some that aren't buggy it would be fun to plop the whole head in there for them to pick the seeds out
Sorry about the late update. By the time I had went outside to get the sun flowers they were in pieces I think the nightly bandit a raccoon got a hold of them. I'm going to try giving them the small weed variety that took over a vacant houses backyard. For right now I put the top of a over ripe pineapple in the tank. They seem to love playing on it more then actually eating it.
AussieJJDude I'm constantly changing the food and trying new things with them. Trying to figure out what they like best so I find them playing with they're food more often then not. Pineapple is one of they're favorite, but this is the first time I have left the skin on. Little girl who is not so little anymore and is pictured loved ripping the skin off it's all over, my tank smells very tropical. They don't stay near the food all the time and once I upgrade to a larger tank they may stop playing with the food all together. Side note I found sunflowers at a farms market so tomorrow night I'll take the pineapple top out and drop in a sunflower head. I'm also going to try some passionflower that my neighbor grows for the butterfly population. I'll keep everyone posted.
kitty: Not much activity in my tank. One morning I got up and it looked like a tornado went through it. Water bowls tumbled, food dishes upside down. Fixed it all up and have been waiting eversince. ! Nothing. DARN !!
