I know sugar is a no no, but are trace amounts of splenda harmful? It was on the strawberries that were in the fruit salad. I gave them a piece of banana and mango mashed together. I already took it out but I worry about the possible side effect/consequences.

I say that a little bit of sugar can't hurt, as they means they can hardly have any fruit... but then again, we talking about natural sugar vs sugar (non-natural).... For memory, I think cherrios have got sugar in them, but don't quote me, the last time my household brought cherrios was 2 years ago! My little sister doesn't like them - she only like milo cereal. i know, talk about healthy and spoilt, me and my older sister only dreamed of having milo cereal and when we did - which has like every 6 months, we would add a handful to our other cereals so it could last for longer! XD edit: sorry for my little rant, I just had to say it!

Sugar is actually fine in moderation (even regular sugar versus fruit sugar), but I'd avoid stuff with Splenda because that is sucralose and that stuff is straight nasty; I don't let anyone in my family have products with sucralose & I'm not one of those people who freak over every little thing. I'm sure the one feeding wasn't a big deal & honestly was probably only in the syrup so a good rinse would fix that.
≈19 clypeatus, 4 perlatus & 8 compressus in 4 tanks
It didn't seem to hurt them at the time I wasn't thinking. My thought process was "oh fresh fruit salad I bet my crabs would like some mango" I didn't even remember the splenda until late that night. I felt bad because I took something out of the tank that the crabs were enjoying. I had to though I didn't know what I could do. My next order from crab patch I'll get some mango and banana instant crab treat.
My crabs go crazy for the Goji berry instant treat, but they also love the Pineapple and sweet corn flavors too. I just seen they have pumpkin instant treat....ooooh I have to get my crabs some of that!
Do crabs make a hissing sound? I've heard them chirp but lately their has been a strange hissing sound coming from the crab room. It sounds similar to a cat hissing. Trying to pin point the sound cause it keeps me up at night. I keep unplugging things to see if it is something electrical but so far nothing I have unplugged has stopped the sound. Wondering if it's the crabs so asking the crabby owners her have heard anything similar.
Found the sound! There was a small hole in the bubble dish line it was on a kink and the pressure would release ever 5 min and make the hissing sound. That about drove me crazy. Side Note: Tank has disappeared so looks like I have another molter. It's the third since October and in the new substrate they must like it. Kinda makes me wonder when Orion will go down, but he molted in the ISO tank so it might be a little soon for him to molt again.
kitty: Not much activity in my tank. One morning I got up and it looked like a tornado went through it. Water bowls tumbled, food dishes upside down. Fixed it all up and have been waiting eversince. ! Nothing. DARN !!
