HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN CRABBING- I have been crabbing since Aug 2011. I have done quite a bit of reading, as well as stalking Sach's FB page and feel I am a knowledgeable crabber.
TANK # AND SIZE(S)- One 55 gallon and a 10 gallon ISO.
LID TYPE-Aquarium hood.
SUBSTRATE USED-Play sand and EE at 5:1 ratio.
HUMIDITY SOURCE- My water sources are quite large and tend to keep humidity levels stable. If needed, an occasional spritz of water here and there. I am considering also getting a water fall.
HEAT SOURCE- UTH on back of tank.
HOW DO YOU TREAT YOUR WATER- I am on well water, so I do not treat the water.
HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR SALT WATER- Oceanic.
HOW MANY CRABS DO YOU HAVE,WHAT SIZES ARE THEY & HOW LONG HAVE YOU HAD THEM- I have eight PPs and one E, whom I'll have to find a species buddy for). They range in size from large mediums to smalls. I have had crabs since Aug, 2011. My kids talked me into buying two at a tourist trap while on vacation in Florida and their crabs quickly became my crabs and then two quickly became nine. LMSO.
WHAT SPECIES OF CRABS DO YOU HAVE- Eight PPs and one E.
WHAT DO YOU FEED YOUR CRABS- worm castings, happy hermit staple, mineral supplement, surf n turf, and oyster shell, all from HCP. I also dehydrate fruits and veggies at home.
WHAT TYPES OF HIDES/CLIMBS DO YOU HAVE-two cholla, two drift wood, lots of greenery, and coming soon a vine and second level moss pit/shell shop.
DO YOU HAVE AN ISOLATION TANK FOR SICK/INJURED/MOLTING CRABS- Yes, as mentioned before, a 10 gallon ISO.
HOW MANY EXTRA SHELLS AND WHAT SIZES DO YOU HAVE- I have about a dozen med and about a dozen large shells.
WHAT SIZE CRABS DO YOU PREFER TO ADOPT- I would prefer small to medium, but wouldn't turn down a big guy.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE US TO KNOW- Though I live in Mississippi, the closest large city is Mobile, Alabama. I would be willing to drive about an hour, one way, for an adoption.
