thanks qdinky, emberfusion and krisdutt, its unbelieveable, she totally ignores all my e-mails,then has the nerve to say i didnt respond, ugh,i think you are right,i am going to e-mail her all the ones i sent with no answer, maybe that will shame her,i hope that she doesnt have a whole heap of ppl to go thru this again. thanks so much,i would have been a mess with out all your help and support:)))))))
I hear ya! I've thought about it so much, but the cost to even start something like that up is steep.
I hear tell that there's someone getting ready to open business and is just waiting on molts to finish up. The person doesn't want to sell crabs unless they've molted at least once with them and they're waiting until they have a good amount that have already done so. We'll see what happens with that - could be a while, though.
thanks girls,im praying for my crabbies,i dont know what day they will be here so when they do i will post pic's,got my camera on the bar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hopefully they will be ok,so im gonna heat some filtered water when they get here and do salt and fresh baths, just in case they are infested with mites:( i do not trust that they wont and i dont want to have them take over my tanks, ugh.

Maybe she meant they emailed the supplier and didn't get a response; that's how it read to me anyways, but yes, I agree. Tell her you want your supplies right now, you don't want a replacement species, they aren't shoes-you ordered blueberries because you wanted blues and you'll wait for the species you ordered unless she thinks they won't get them, in which case you want a refund on the blues.

thanks sach,im about to go email her,not that she will answer but its worth the try, some people shouldnt be allowed to even look at a land hermit crab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,her NEVER! i have no idea of how she makes any of this right, hopefully we will find a honest place to sell us healthy happy crabs:))))))))
Emberfusion - I've really considered it but my downside is I'm a renter so that get's complicated when wanting to find a better place and such and having to move crabs (which is not fun!) . Cost wouldn't be too much of an issue. I'm thinking maybe $4,000-$5,000 to get a good start-up going and such. Believe me I'm very tempted especially since there's other species I would love to get myself.
arkansascrabber - I'm so sorry your having such a horrible time with LHC. Just keep your new guys in ISO for a while to observe them for mites.

I was gonna suggest an extra long ISO for the LHC crabs, not just to watch for mites but because they probably won't get much downtime before coming to you; maybe even with some straight (damp) sand to cut down on mites if they still need burying/de-stressing time.
I've seriously considered being a supplier too (that's the only part of interest to hubby most of the time, hh), but sticking to only 1 species and being very selective as to who I sell to. But, I am also a renter. One one income. For a 5 person family,hh. So we are almost always in jeopardy of having something go wrong & we have to move suddenly. J wants to sell violas, lmso.

emberfusion, qdinky and sach, yes i wish you guys could start up a crab buisness too, that way we would have healthy happy crabs, and J,what about straws, ruggies too, hehe,i will def keep them in ISO for maybe a month, not sure if ruggies have mites??? wont be getting any blueberries so i will just pine for them till i get the big tat going,i so wanted some to love and see for myself how beautiful they are, prob not gonna get alot of color with the ruggies,so much stress and all. thanks girls, qdinky i think your a sweetie, wish it would work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks girls, xoxoox
ok,thanks krisdutt,i will def give them salt and fresh baths, will i be able to see the mites?? i havent had to deal with this mite prob before????i am going to keep them in ISO for a good amount of time,i just hate to bathe crabs, they are not big fan's of us doing it,lol, but i will have to,how often should i bathe them??? thank you for your help:)))))))))))))) and i do trust your opinion!
