i agree emberfusion, raw would attract flies and gnats, plus as you said the germs, they love beans, eggshells, hard cheese, pasta, leaves, grass,we have a safe food list here, there is so much they love to eat, alot of us feed them what we eat for dinner, they always need calcium and protein, salt and fresh water, happy crabbing:)
I'll be honest I do give my guys raw red meat/shrimp but I've also have always washed my hands after handling raw meats and whatever the raw food is touching in the tank comes out the next day. So if doing raw use caution.
To answer your other question like emberfusion says there scavengers so they do eats lots of things and arkansascrabber is correct as well

I always cook mine just because I don't want to get any of us sick. Also mine seem to prefer the meat cooked, and I feel better about keeping it in the tank longer if it is cooked. I also dry my leftover meat and it get dryer and less chewy that way.

These guys have it right To address the other questions, yes they can eat all that stuff, beans can be cooked or raw, whole, cut, crushed or ground. As for the fish, preferences of one kind or another vary crab to crab and molt to molt. My PPs don't seem big fans of any fish or seafood (besides dry fish), but the exotics love it. Also, you can give them the bones from both the chicken and the fish too.
