My suggestion for trying grasshoppers with you crabbies is to buy the dried ones! I found a live one today and he was a super grasshopper, I cut his head off and left him in a container, about a half hour later I reached in to get him and he hopped!!!! So I thought reflexes and left him for another hour. Got food dishes and this time I wasn't brave enough to try picking him up I dumped him in the dish....no movement.....went back to crabby room put food in all the dishes, put dishes in each tat....still didn't move. Saw Megatron out (pp) and it's way early for him so figured he smelled the grasshopper....sure enough it wasn't in the dish....then I saw it by chola wood and thought he must have drug it out on his shell, reached in to get it and the dang thing hopped!!!! Freaked me out.....grass hopper is definitely dead now and I removed those hoppers so no more freaking me out..now they better eat this meal! If they eat it I will definitely look for dried ones from now on(:

I've only ever done dry crickets and my PPs absolutely LOVE them so I've been looking for more. I just added some dry crickets and grasshoppers (they're sold for lizards & stuff) to my order with reptilesupply.com last night. They way they've been going with this order so far, I may hear they've shipped in a bout a week or so, lmso.
