Hello, I thought I'd let everyone know you can visit you local Petco for the Reptile Rally, but if you go on Petco.com you can print out four handy coupons. 50% off any reptiles. 50% off zoo med 20 long reptile kit. 50% off 10 lb. bags of zoo med Vita-sand. 50% off 8 lb. bags of ReptiFresf. Yeah, I know hermit crabs aren't that healthy there, but you should save one for about $2. All those coupons can be handy for your hermit crabs also. Just go to Petco.com and print out the coupons. The coupons will valid through July 16-18. So hurry up and get to Petco.com.
11:00am: FEEDING TIME- watch associate feed the hermit crabs. 11:30am: HAPPY HABITAT- Learn how to set up the "perfect" hermit crab cage. Noon: REPTILE MEET & GREET- Get up close to the hermies. 12:30pm: ASK THE SPECIALIST- Get answers to hermit crabs questions.
This is our chance to see how the care for the hermit crabs and make sure there taken care of right so I'd advise everyone brings a couple care sheets for people. Thanks for reading. And you can go for other reptiles also, but we need to help hermit crabs and do as much as we can to stop the abuse and painted shells.

sounds like a good time for some to upgrade! My fav. size is the 40 gal breeder tank, they usually come with a screen top and have lots of ground space. My next fav and my next incomming tank is a 75 gal. !
40 breeder is a very nice size, thought somewhat low so if you need deep substrate it can be restrictive. I really like my 75, though I wish I had bit the bullet and went for the 90. The difference in price was tremendous and with the larger crabs I didn't want to have anyone falling from a height where they could be damaged or hurt another crab - so the 75 suits.
I have a 65 set up as a fish tank and that seems a reasonable size for a limited number of larger crabs in that they can have very deep substrate.
Of course the larger tanks are not on the list. I have a 40 br, and if petco wasn't so far away I would get another couple to move some other animals around. They are nice all around tanks. Not very popular with fish people because the fish can hang out in the back and they are more challenging to see unless the water is perfectly clear. The fish prefer them though and with the extra depth, there is extra flor space. Perfect for crabs too.
One thing to consider when upgrading is that you will likely upgrade again and you can try to pick a tank that has the same footprint as the next size you are likely to go to. $0 gallon breeder is basically a short 65 so if you mediums and larges become jumbos, you can switch tanks without switching tops, stands, etc. &5's are short 90's etc.
40 G breeder was my first retail tank purchase. I have a love hate relationship with it LOL. I like the floor space and hate the vertical space. I have such a crazy mix of of tanks ahhh craigslist, but the recent find of a pristine 125 with lights and lids for 100 dollars has me glad I do most of my business there.
kitty: Not much activity in my tank. One morning I got up and it looked like a tornado went through it. Water bowls tumbled, food dishes upside down. Fixed it all up and have been waiting eversince. ! Nothing. DARN !!
