DESCRIBE THE PROBLEM & ANY OTHER INFO YOU THINK APPLIES-
I saw my first dead crab about 2" below surface next to FW against glass. I saw his tail. I carefully dug him up and found just tail and some exo next to his shell (worn by one of my PPs). It was in an area where I saw my smaller E quite a bit recently. I actually thought it was my E who was shell-less until I saw him a bit later directly below that spot at the bottom along the glass.
All four crabs were subterranean at this point (as in I didn't see them on surface and food/surface wasn't disturbed) for at least a week. There were still digging noises occasionally.
On Monday, I found another tail on the surface under a hide, no shell or anything else to tell me who it was BUT I have seen both Es on the surface as recently as last night. So it must be my other PP.
Both of my Es have molted successfully twice. First time in Sept and in late November/early December. (The first time was in a 5.5 gallon with 3-4" calci-sand.)
The little E who I suspect ate the PP came from Petco and there were a bunch of dead and dismembered crabs in the tank with him. This little guy crawled onto my hand from the rock he was on.
I'll try to upload a picture of the tank from the computer later. My iPhone and Tapatalk aren't playing nicely together right now.
