Hi Guys,
My parents are beekeepers and they usually sell all their stuff off locally but this year I talked them in to selling to crabbers. They do not use any pesticides or medications on their bees and live next to a farm so they get great products!
These prices were set for non-human consumption grade. That means that you might find little bee legs or wings in it . . . it’s cheaper because they aren’t cleaning the bee parts out (which is time consuming as it has to be done by hand).
Wax caps straight from the hive with some honey still on 35 cents/ounce and $5/ pound.
Pollen frozen $12/pound and dried $20/pound
$1/ounce frozen and $1.50/ounce dried
Keep in mind a couple things here . . . frozen is going to be moist and will have to be stored in the freezer or it will mold . . . Plus you don’t get as much since it is heavier due to moisture. It is sweeter than dried, but my crabs eat the dried fine. In fact, some of them seem to prefer the dried and eat it like candy.
Propolis is in high demand, limited production, and in general, expensive. . . . it will stain your hands and clothes, you for sure don’t want to drop it on carpet. I tend to reserve use for when I get new, stressed, hurt or sick crabs, but in those situations it is like gold! It smells and tastes horrible but they seem to like it. $2/ounce
I am assuming most people will buy honey locally rather than ship it.
Postage will be a flat rate fee of $4 for a bubble envelope first class and delivery confirmation. If your order doesn’t fit in an envelope, you prefer to have your items boxed or want faster shipping then I can get actual pricing for that.
Please email me at iwhlvr@gmail.com and I will forward your order to her. She is setting up paypal now.
Thanks!
Cari
