While perusing the analytics for the page, it came to my attention that someone had searched FOR "HOW TO POST PICTURES", so here are your instructions.
Some threads will allow you to attach pictures.
That comes straight from your computer, but will put them at the end of your post & when you click to enlarge, you have to use your "back" arrow to get back to the thread. *{3/7/13}Proboards is working on fixing this bug.
You have to first have your pictures stored online somewhere like Photobucket (that's what I use, so that's how I'll explain how to do it). You need the tag for your pic that begins and ends with IMG (in the brackets). On Photobucket, this is the bottom choice.
In your album, it will look like this:
Clicking on the individual picture in your album, it will look like this:
All you have to do is when you are creating a thread or replying to a post, you copy the image code and paste it into your message.
Using this post as an example, this is what the code looks like pasted into the reply:
If you are using another online-image storing page, you will still use the image tags, you will just make the tag yourself. This means you copy the address of the actual picture (not on the page of an album or anything), then you put IMG(in brackets) at the beginning and /IMG at the end of the address. This should be all you have to do.
THIS DOES NOT APPLY WHEN PUTTING UP YOUR AVATAR PHOTO!!!!
Your avatar photo needs to be the direct URL for your picture. On photobucket, this is the second choice.
Also, when posting an avatar, you choose "none" where it says avatar (those are the cheesy graphic ones for now) and then you put in your avatar URL where prompted. Your avatar can not be bigger than 100 x 100, but if you'd like to make pics a part of your signature, let me know! Click on "modify profile" and you're good to go!
I will consult with my graphics advisors if my instructions aren't up to par Feel free to message me or make a post if you have any questions.
